Pricing for grooming services

Claw trims – £18 if another cat is having a groom, £20 I’m visiting for a claw trim only

Sometimes cats need assistance with keeping their claws trimmed. If their claws aren’t trimmed or worn down they can grow into their paw pads casing them discomfort and pain. If a claw trim is the only service you require you have to live within 15 miles from Gwespyr and 45p per mile travel cost is still applicable.

Introduction to grooming

This service is suitable for kittens and adult cats who are nervous. This will allow your cat to get used to the grooming process in a short session. It will include express brush of coat, claw trim and eyes/ears cleaned (30 minutes)

Not suitable for cats with big knots or matting.

Full dry groom 

This service includes a thorough comb through of the coat to get out the undercoat, claw trim, eyes and ears cleaned.

Spot shaving

If your cat requires spot shaving of any mats is this will be between £10 to £60 extra on top of the groom price depending on the severity and amount of matting

Lion cut or modified Lion cut

A style used usually when a cat is very matted, the main part of the body, top of legs and underneath will be closely shaved leaving a Lion style mane and longer fur on feet and tail. I will also consider offering this style for certain health/welfare issues.

This service will take approximately 1 hour to 1 and 1/2 hours and will include claw trim, eyes and ears cleaned.

If the cat is matted this will increase the price of the lion cut because it takes longer to get under the mats safely.

Please note that whenever a cat is shaved there can be times where the skin can be nicked during this process. The wound will be treated at the time and I will make you aware and advise you if any vet treatment is required.

Extra services – £18 for each service

Hygiene clip, belly/underside clip, mane trim. 

I do not ordinarily bathe cats because most cats do not enjoy this experience. If you believe your cat needs to be bathed please contact me to discuss this.

Sometimes grooming sessions might have to be split up for the comfort of your cat and for mine and their safety. On the rare occasion that your cat does not settle into the groom e.g. is very scared or very aggressive I might have to stop the groom and advise you to take the cat to the vet to be groomed under sedation. My minimum groom charge (even if I can’t handle a cat to do the groom) is £25 plus the mobile fee.
